30th Birthday Celebration Luncheon and Lenox M. Reed Seminar 

Neuhaus Education Center will hold its 30th Birthday Celebration Luncheon and Lenox M. Reed Seminar on Thursday, March 11th at the Westin Galleria Hotel We are honored to announce that Mrs. Laura W. Bush will serve as guest speaker for our largest fundraising event of the year.
 
Mrs. Bush is actively involved in issues of national and global importance, with a particular emphasis on literacy, health care, and human rights. A former teacher and librarian, Mrs. Bush is an enthusiastic proponent of teacher recruitment programs, and is an advocate for literacy, both in the U.S. and abroad.
 
Luncheon Chairs Gayle Hightower and Mary Webber and Underwriting Chairs Laura McDaniel, Camilie Patton and Cynthia Trigg are pleased to recognize Mary Farish Johnston as this year's Luncheon honoree.  Mrs. Johnston has played a key role in supporting many of Houston's leading educational institutions, including Neuhaus.  It is with gratitude that we honor her commitment to a successful future for all readers.  The Annual Luncheon also celebrates the 2010 graduates of Neuhaus' Dyslexia Specialist Preparation Program.
 
Immediately following the luncheon, guests are invited to attend the Lenox M. Reed Seminar with guest speaker Marcia K. Henry, Ph.D.  Dr. Henry has 44 years of experience in the field of reading and dyslexia, working as a teacher, diagnostician, tutor and professor. Dr. Henry speaks frequently at conferences, and writes for and serves on the editorial boards of several professional journals.
