It was my honor to run the [Houston Chevron Marathon] as a sponsor for Neuhaus. When I was struggling with getting a diagnosis for my son three years ago, I attended your parent classes. You helped me get referrals for testing and tutors. My son is now 9 and in the third grade. He gets A's in reading. Neuhaus taught me about early intervention. When the school district said wait and see, Neuhaus encouraged me to go forward and get help for him. He was there [at the Marathon] and knows how we were helped by Neuhaus. He is truly the type of kid that would have fallen through the cracks because he is not severe enough to get services through the district, even though he had the independent testing scores to warrant it. [Language Enrichment is] very well organized. The practicum opportunities were extremely effective in the understanding of the material.
