Monthly Information Session
VirtualNeuhaus hosts free, virtual information presentations on reading challenges, especially dyslexia, multisensory, research-based instruction, and the Texas dyslexia legislation. This repeating presentation includes information on resources available at Neuhaus and in the community. Parents, educators, and other professionals can benefit from these presentations.
Online Certification Program for Dyslexia Specialists (OCPDS) Preview Session
OCPDS is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association as an IDA Accredited Plus Program. OCPDS maintains the high standards of this organization and keeps the Knowledge and Practice Standards (KPS) at the forefront of teacher preparation.
Reading Readiness (On-Site)
Neuhaus Education Center 4433 Bissonnet, Bellaire, TX, United StatesIn Reading Readiness, participants learn: 1) the foundational skills that are necessary to become fluent readers and accurate spellers; 2) hands-on, multisensory activities to teach and reinforce these skills; 3) strategies for building instant recognition of words with reliable and unexpected pronunciations; and 4) the importance of explicit and systematic handwriting instruction to spelling and writing.
